The Academic Support Community, TASC for short, brings back to Doha College a form of academic service aimed at providing secondary-wide subject coaching. The six mentors were carefully selected by the Heads of Departments as true representatives of their subject, having demonstrated strong academic performance, leadership skills and mentor-like aptitudes within the department.
Students at Doha College are being shaped into responsible “global citizens” right from the primary school years. One of the ways to achieve this is involving them actively in as many aspects of school life as possible. The college offers students a diverse range of leadership opportunities.
Doha College was the lucky recipient of a children’s interactive golf kit, which will be used to introduce students to the sport as part of their physical education curriculum. The generous donation was marked at the school in the presence of Ashjan Saleh I S Al-Khalaf, CBQ Sponsorships and Events Manager and Michael Braidwood, General Manager of ECGC.
Every academic year, Doha College sets in motion a thorough process of selection in which students and staff appoint a team of six 6th-formers as the top layer of student leadership. The applicants come from the most active and impactful students, whose initiatives and participation through the years has led to positive changes within the school.
