Through his commitment to young people, HRH Prince Philip developed The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, which has had a profound and positive impact on thousands of Doha College students who participated in the programme over the years. We are eternally grateful for his vision and pioneering approach to the development of young people.
Our primary PE teacher Martin Harvey competed in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters ProAm 2021, in the stellar company of Oliver Fisher. Martin is passionately dedicated to sports education and is a versatile sportsman. He is an encyclopedia of sporting knowledge and a burst of enthusiasm, both of which he shares happily with all around him.
Meet Aleeza Ahsun, Doha College student in Year 9 (that’s only 13 years of age) and talented artist who had her work recently recognised in a very public way! She submitted a very original piece of art to the national schools art competition launched by the Qatar British Business Forum, who put it out to the young community to create the cover of their upcoming business directory.
Zakarya is extremely passionate about animals and wildlife as a whole; having spent a lot of time and research on the subject, he is very knowledgeable about it. Wishing to share his knowledge of animals and the world’s ecosystems, Zakarya decided to create a book that would help spread it to others, and be of use to them.
