DOHA COLLEGE Spring Festival
Students Singing in Performance

The Doha College Spring Festival is one of the most anticipated highlights of the year — a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and shared experience. Bringing together pupils, families, and the wider community, the festival transforms the campus into a lively and colourful space filled with energy, entertainment, and opportunity.

With thousands of visitors and a wide range of vendors, the festival offers a dynamic blend of stalls, activities, and performances that reflect the spirit and diversity of our College. From interactive games and family-friendly attractions to live entertainment and creative showcases, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

A defining feature of the festival is our Student Enterprise Area, which showcases the outcomes of the Pitch, Profit, Learn initiative. This programme provides pupils with meaningful, real-world experience in entrepreneurship — from developing ideas and conducting market research to pitching, budgeting, and generating profit. Each year, pupil-led businesses present their concepts, with selected ventures bringing their ideas to life on the day. The result is an inspiring display of creativity, resilience, and commercial awareness, as pupils engage directly with customers and experience the realities of running a business.

At its heart, the Spring Festival is a celebration of connection. It provides a platform for pupils to take initiative, for families to engage, and for the wider community to come together in a spirit of collaboration and enjoyment. The atmosphere is one of energy, ambition, and inclusivity — where learning extends beyond the classroom and into authentic, memorable experiences.

More than a single event, the Spring Festival captures the essence of life at Doha College — a thriving, outward-looking community where people come together to celebrate, contribute, and create lasting memories.

Community Iftar
Students Singing in Performance

Our annual Community Iftar is one of the most meaningful moments in the Doha College calendar, bringing families, staff, and friends together in a spirit of reflection, gratitude, and unity during the holy month of Ramadan.

As the sun sets, our community gathers to pause and reflect before sharing in the breaking of the fast. The evening is marked by a quiet sense of reverence, followed by a warm and welcoming atmosphere where conversation flows, connections deepen, and a true sense of togetherness is felt across the College.

A highlight of the evening is the shared dining experience, where families contribute a rich variety of home-cooked dishes from across the world. This collective gesture of generosity creates a vibrant and authentic celebration of culture, with flavours and traditions that reflect the diversity of our community. Alongside these contributions, carefully prepared offerings complement the experience, but it is the spirit of giving and togetherness that defines the occasion.

Community Iftar is a powerful reflection of Doha College’s culture of kindness and respect, honouring local traditions while bringing our international community together in a meaningful and memorable way.

British day
Students Singing in Performance

British Day at Doha College is a distinctive celebration of our identity, offering pupils a meaningful connection to the traditions, values, and cultural influences that shape a British education.

Throughout the day, pupils engage in experiences that reflect both the character and nuance of British culture — from classic customs and etiquette to sporting traditions and historical influences. These moments are thoughtfully designed to bring heritage to life in a way that is relevant, engaging, and rooted in learning.

As a leading British international school in Qatar, Doha College takes pride in delivering an education that is both authentically British and globally aware. British Day provides an opportunity to explore this identity in depth, helping pupils understand not only traditions, but the values that underpin them — respect, integrity, curiosity, and a strong sense of community.

Set within a richly diverse environment, the day also highlights how a shared British foundation can unite a global community. It is this balance — a confident sense of identity within an international context — that defines the Doha College experience.

British Day is therefore more than a celebration; it is a reflection of our educational philosophy and a powerful expression of what it means to belong to a truly British school abroad.

International day
Students Singing in Performance

International Day at Doha College is one of the most vibrant and anticipated events in our calendar, celebrating the rich diversity of our global community. Often aligned with the World Day for Cultural Diversity, this annual occasion brings together pupils, families, and staff to honour the many cultures that make up our College.

The day transforms the campus into a dynamic cultural showcase, where families host stalls representing countries from around the world. Traditional clothing, arts, crafts, and cuisine offer a hands-on opportunity for pupils to explore and appreciate different cultures, languages, and traditions in an engaging and meaningful way.

A highlight of the event is the series of performances and parades, where pupils proudly share dances, music, and customs from a wide range of cultures, reflecting the inclusive and international spirit of Doha College.

Supported by our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, International Day is delivered as a dedicated “drop-down” experience, with the usual timetable set aside to allow pupils to fully immerse themselves in cultural learning and celebration.

The event also reflects our commitment to community and global responsibility, often incorporating charitable elements that encourage pupils to contribute positively beyond the College.

International Day is a powerful expression of who we are — a connected, respectful, and globally minded community where every culture is valued and celebrated.

parent coffee mornings & parent workshops
Students Singing in Performance

Our Parent Coffee Mornings are a valued and much-loved part of life at Doha College, offering a relaxed and welcoming space for families to connect, share experiences, and feel part of our vibrant school community.

Held regularly throughout the year, these informal gatherings provide an opportunity for parents to meet one another, build friendships, and engage directly with members of staff and the wider College community. Whether you are new to Doha College or a long-standing member of our community, these mornings are designed to ensure every parent feels welcomed, supported, and included.

Each session offers a chance to gain insight into different aspects of College life, from curriculum highlights and pastoral care to co-curricular opportunities and key developments across the school. Just as importantly, they provide a platform for open conversation, where parents can ask questions, share feedback, and feel confident in their partnership with the College.

At Doha College, we believe that strong relationships between school and home are essential to every pupil’s success. Our Parent Coffee Mornings play an important role in nurturing this connection, reflecting our culture of kindness, openness, and genuine community spirit.

Doha College Golf Day

The Doha College Community Golf Day offers a unique opportunity for families, staff, and partners to connect in a relaxed and enjoyable setting beyond the school campus. Set against the backdrop of one of Qatar’s premier golf venues, the event brings together members of our community for a day centred on connection, friendly competition, and shared experience.

Participants take to the course in a spirit of camaraderie, with teams enjoying a light-hearted yet engaging format that welcomes players of all abilities. The day concludes with an opportunity to come together off the course, reflecting on the event and strengthening the relationships that underpin our community.

As a growing addition to our events calendar, the Community Golf Day reflects Doha College’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for engagement — extending our culture of connection beyond the classroom and into wider social experiences.

Supported by valued partners and embraced by our community, the event continues to develop as a memorable and much-anticipated occasion within the Doha College calendar.

Doha College Race

Since its inception in 2011, the Doha College Race has become a highly anticipated fixture in Qatar’s sporting calendar. The first race took place at The Pearl, with 300 runners participating in a 10km competition. Since then, the event has grown in scale and popularity, attracting over 1,000 runners from across Qatar and beyond.

Previously hosted in the Aspire Zone – home to the iconic Torch Hotel and Aspire Park – the race has evolved into a major community event, offering 5km and 10km categories, alongside a 1km children’s race.
The ninth edition marked a memorable milestone, held under the lights of the Lusail International Circuit. It became the fastest race in its history, setting new course records and debuting the exciting 1km children’s race, where nearly 150 young runners competed for the winner’s trophy.

The Doha College Race embodies the spirit of community, fitness, and friendly competition, reflecting Doha College’s dedication to promoting health, participation, and excellence beyond the classroom.
