Application Process - Doha College

Application Process

We are thrilled that you are considering Doha College for your child’s education. As a leading British international school in Qatar, we follow the National Curriculum for England, with our academic year running from September to June.

Our application process is designed to be straightforward and supportive. For September admissions, applications typically open in November of the preceding year, and we encourage families to review our admissions schedule for key dates and deadlines.

While many families join us in September, we understand that international moves and relocations may not align with traditional entry points.

For this reason, we welcome in-year admissions where places are available, across all year groups—except Years 10, 11, 12 and 13, where entry is more limited due to curriculum structure.

Our entire application process is completed online for your convenience, allowing you to apply at any time and from any device.

To help make your application as smooth and straightforward as possible, it’s helpful to have a few key documents scanned and ready before you begin.

  • Copy of the pupil’s passport

  • Pupil’s vaccination record

  • Most recent school report

  • Pupil and parents’ Qatar ID (if available)

A non-refundable application fee of QR 200 applies and can be paid securely online using a credit card.

An Overview of the Application Process

At Doha College, we aim to make the admissions process as smooth and transparent as possible for families joining our vibrant school community.

1. Apply
The team will be in touch to confirm receipt of your application and to advise on the next steps, which often include age-appropriate assessments. In the meantime, we will also reach out to your child’s current school to request a reference.

2. Assessment
Following the assessment stage, you may be invited to a Parent and Pupil interview with our Principal or Head of School, which forms an important part of our holistic review for families who are not currently in Qatar. Interviews can be arranged remotely.

3. Outcome
Following the interview, each application is reviewed holistically. Parents will typically receive an outcome within 10 working days. Successful applicants will be offered a place at Doha College or, where a year group is full, placed on a priority waiting list.
