Co-curricular Activities

At Doha College, Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) form an essential part of every pupil’s educational journey, standing proudly alongside academic excellence and pastoral care.

Far from being optional, CCAs are woven into the very fabric of school life, helping pupils grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. Through participation, they develop teamwork, resilience, leadership, and creativity — qualities that extend far beyond the classroom.

Our extensive CCA programme is designed to prepare pupils for life in a modern, global society, nurturing responsible, respectful citizens who embody British values while celebrating the diversity of cultures represented across our school.

From hands-on science and digital innovation to creative arts, public speaking, and competitive sport, there is something for every passion and purpose at Doha College.

Pupil Leadership

At Doha College, leadership is nurtured at every stage of education. We encourage pupils to take initiative, represent their peers, and make a meaningful contribution to their community.

In the Primary school, pupils take on roles such as Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputies, and other key positions including School Councillors, Prefects, Eco Warriors, and House Captains. These experiences build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of shared responsibility.

In the Secondary school, pupil leaders — known as the Big 6 — are appointed through a competitive selection process. They serve as ambassadors for the College, leading with integrity and representing pupil voice within and beyond the school. They are supported by a range of active committees, including Charities, Wellbeing, Environment, and Communications, which give every pupil a chance to contribute to meaningful initiatives.

Through these opportunities, pupils develop the confidence, empathy, and leadership qualities needed to become global citizens who lead with purpose and conviction.

Eco-School

Doha College is proud to be a leader in sustainability education and was the first school in Qatar to adopt the Eco-Schools Programme in 2014.

In 2016, we earned the prestigious Green Flag status from the Foundation for Environmental Education — an achievement we have proudly maintained through ongoing renewals, including recognition by the Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC).

Our Eco-School Committee, made up of passionate pupils and dedicated staff, leads initiatives that embed sustainability across every area of school life. From recycling and energy-saving projects to awareness campaigns and green challenges, both our Primary and Secondary pupils play an active role in protecting the environment.

Through this commitment, Doha College continues to nurture environmentally conscious global citizens who understand the importance of sustainability, responsibility, and collective action.

Digital Learning

Doha College is proud to be a 1:1 iPad school, where every pupil from Year 3 to Year 13 brings their device to school each day.

Technology is seamlessly woven into the curriculum, creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment where pupils develop advanced digital literacy from an early age.

Our teachers follow a dedicated Digital Learning Model, designed to guide the purposeful use of technology across eight key areas of learning. This model ensures that digital tools are applied meaningfully — enhancing creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking across all subjects.

By combining innovation with responsibility, Doha College empowers pupils to thrive in an increasingly digital world, equipping them with the confidence and skills to use technology effectively and ethically.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

At Doha College, we are committed to creating a culture where diversity, equity, and inclusion are celebrated every day.

We value the unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of every pupil, parent, staff member, and partner in our community.

Our approach ensures that every individual feels valued, respected, and supported. Through culturally responsive teaching, inclusive classroom practices, and a zero-tolerance stance on bullying and discrimination, we nurture an environment built on fairness, empathy, and belonging.

Doha College is a place where everyone can thrive — academically, socially, and personally — and where our collective diversity strengthens the bonds of our community.

Doha College Instrumental Music

At Doha College, our Instrumental Music Programme invites pupils to discover the joy of music while developing key skills such as creativity, discipline, and focus. Learning an instrument not only enriches their academic journey but also builds confidence and provides a powerful form of self-expression.

Pupils can pursue internationally recognised qualifications through ABRSM and RSL Awards, supporting their progression in GCSE and A Level Music and strengthening their university applications.

Through individual and group lessons, pupils are encouraged to explore their talents, perform with passion, and experience the lifelong rewards that come from mastering a musical instrument.

Doha College House System

At Doha College, every pupil belongs to a House — Eagle, Oryx, Scorpion, Trident, or Viper — each representing a spirit of teamwork, pride, and community. The House System is an integral part of school life, designed to nurture friendships across year groups and encourage healthy competition in academic, sporting, and cultural pursuits.
