Co-curricular Activities
At Doha College, Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are a vital part of a holistic education, standing alongside academic excellence and pastoral care. Far from being optional add-ons, CCAs are woven into the fabric of student life, helping to shape well-rounded individuals.
Through our diverse CCA programme, we aim to prepare pupils for life in a modern, global society—nurturing responsible, respectful citizens who understand British values and celebrate cultural diversity.
From hands-on science to creative expression and physical challenges, CCAs at Doha College offer something for every interest.
Student Leadership
Doha College nurtures leadership at every stage, encouraging students to take initiative, represent their peers, and positively impact their community.
In Primary, students take on roles such as Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputies, and other positions including School Councillors, Prefects, Eco Warriors, and House Captains—developing confidence and a sense of responsibility.
In Secondary, student leaders—known as the Big 6—are selected through a competitive process and serve as ambassadors within the school and beyond. They are supported by various student-led committees, including Charities, Wellbeing, Environment, and Communications.
These opportunities empower students to grow as role models and global citizens, ready to lead with purpose and integrity.
Eco-School
Doha College is proud to be the first school in Qatar to adopt the Eco School Programme in 2014 and to receive the prestigious Green Flag status from the Foundation for Environmental Education in 2016—a recognition we’ve successfully maintained through regular renewals, including by the Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC).
Our Eco-School Committee, made up of passionate students and staff, plays a key role in driving sustainability efforts across the school. With both Primary and Secondary schools actively involved, Doha College remains committed to nurturing environmentally conscious global citizens and embedding sustainability into everyday school life.
Digital Learning
Doha College is proud to be a 1:1 iPad school, with all students from Year 3 to Year 13 bringing their own devices to school daily. Technology is fully embedded across the curriculum, supporting a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students develop strong digital literacy from an early age.
Teachers use a dedicated Digital Learning Model, which guides the purposeful integration of technology across eight key areas of learning. This ensures that digital tools are used meaningfully to enhance creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in every subject.
Through this innovative approach, Doha College prepares students to thrive in a digital world while maintaining a strong focus on responsible and effective technology use.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
At Doha College, we are deeply committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion where every member of our community feels valued, respected, and supported. We celebrate the unique backgrounds and perspectives of our students, staff, parents, and partners, and actively work to eliminate bias and discrimination.
Through culturally responsive teaching, inclusive practices, and a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and harassment, we ensure that all voices are heard and treated with fairness and dignity.
Our goal is to create a truly inclusive environment where everyone can thrive—academically, socially, and personally—while building a stronger, more connected school community.
Doha College Instrumental Music
At Doha College, our Instrumental Music Programme offers students the opportunity to explore the joy of music while developing valuable life skills such as discipline, creativity, and concentration. Learning an instrument not only enhances academic performance but also boosts confidence and provides a unique outlet for self-expression.
Students can work toward internationally recognised qualifications through ABRSM and RSL Awards, which support their progress in GCSE and A Level Music and strengthen university applications.
