Entry Requirements

Doha College is a selective entry school with a focus on academic excellence. Admission is subject to criteria which vary according to the applicant’s age group and to places being available.

Admissions to available spaces are determined through a thoughtful process rather than on a ‘first come, first served basis’. We invite applicants to participate in an entrance assessment, providing an opportunity for us to understand each student's unique strengths. Successful applicants will have the chance to secure open places or be added to our waiting list, ensuring a personalised approach to enrollment.

Waiting lists for all year groups are rank-ordered, based on academic ability as determined by the entrance assessment, examination results, previous school reports, and an academic and character reference.

Admission to Years 12 and 13 is subject to meeting our minimum entry requirements at GCSE and/or A-Level (five grade C’s/5 and above with B’s/6 in the subject options selected), availability of places, and a satisfactory interview, as well as academic and behaviour references.

In some circumstances, students with learning support requirements will be accepted. If extensive learning support is required, then this will be discussed with the school before confirmation of a place.
