2018 is an exciting year for Doha College, as we shortly begin the construction of our new pioneering 21st century campus in Al Wajba.
Our new 90,000m² state-of-the-art campus will open its doors in September 2020, in time for the celebration of our 40th anniversary since the beginning of Doha College in 1980.
The Al Wajba site will offer a 6-form Primary School and a 10-form Secondary School, in addition to retaining our 4-form Primary School at West Bay. Operations at our Al Waab location will cease and move to the new campus at Al Wajba in preparation for the opening.
With consistently outstanding educational achievements and excellent examination results at all levels, Doha College experiences an ever increasing demand for places. The new campus and our West Bay location will provide additional capacity to the residents of Qatar in two strategic locations, and align with the aims and objectives of Qatar's National Vision 2030.
In addition to cutting-edge facilities and inspiring learning environments, the new development will feature dedicated zones for Primary and Secondary, as well as expansive indoor and outdoor sports facilities, drama studios and swimming pools.
Dr Steffen Sommer, Principal of Doha College, said: “As one of the most established British schools in Qatar, Doha College boasts a rich history of educational excellence dating back to 1980. I am delighted to be part of the journey that will enhance our legacy and strive to achieve our motto of ‘Excellence for All, Excellence from All’. Our new world-class campus will allow future generations of Doha College students to thrive and unlock their full potential in an environment which is fit for the learning needs of the 21st century.”
