Medical Conf.

Medical Review Schools Conference

Health and Medicine will always be a worldwide challenge and Qatar rightly places this sector as one of its National Vision 2030 pillars. Many Doha College students choose to follow medicine and our Science Department work hard to support their university applications and enhance their skills.

In 2014, Doha College developed a Medical Review conference, which brought together aspiring medical students and industry experts. This year we have again linked with COBIS - the Council of British International Schools to extend entrance to this conference to British schools across the world.

Doha College would like to invite you to attend our sixth annual Medical Review Schools Conference at Doha College Al Waab campus in Doha, Qatar on Saturday 23 February 2019.

Interested schools are invited to enter teams from Years 11, 12 and 13 to research recent developments in medicine and deliver a short presentation about it. Teachers from participating schools will initially judge presentations, and the final judging panel will comprise doctors and medical experts who will assess and challenge the finalists in the afternoon session.

Presentations must fall within the following topic areas:

  1. Epidemiology of Infectious Disease
  2. Technology in Medicine
  3. Radiological, Pathological and Diagnostic Updates
  4. Feto-maternal Medicine (Obstetrics and Antenatal Care)
