Physics Olympiad Success Showcases Doha College Pupils' Talent and Tenacity

We are thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to three exceptional Year 11 students who recently participated in the prestigious British Physics Olympiad – Intermediate Physics Challenge. This rigorous competition, held in March, is renowned for its demanding questions that bridge the academic stretch from GCSE to A-Level Physics, testing content knowledge and depth of understanding, problem-solving prowess, and critical thinking.

The results speak for themselves:

Zaahin W – Gold Award

Sakina R – Gold Award

Ahmed A – Silver Award

To perform so outstandingly in such a competitive national challenge is a testament to the pupils’ aptitude in Physics and their intellectual curiosity and commitment to excellence. Their success reflects hours of diligent preparation, including active participation in the Physics Olympiad Co-Curricular Activity (CCA), where they pushed their learning beyond the curriculum.

Success in the Physics Olympiad demands more than academic strength—it requires resilience, discipline, analytical thought, and an eagerness to explore the unknown. These are the very qualities that Doha College strives to nurture in all our students. Zaahin, Sakina, and Ahmed have exemplified what it means to be principled, persevering learners—qualities at the heart of our educational ethos.

We are immensely proud of their achievements and the inspiration they bring to the wider school community. Their accomplishments reinforce Doha College’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and preparing our pupils to meet global challenges with confidence and integrity.

Well done, Zaahin, Sakina, and Ahmed—you have done yourselves and Doha College proud!
