From canvas to camera: Doha College students shine at the Art and Photography Exhibition
The Year 11 and 13 Art and Photography Exhibition at Doha College was a resounding success, a testament to the exceptional artistic achievements of our talented students.
This highly anticipated event also featured impressive contributions from the Design Technology and Media departments, highlighting the multidisciplinary talent within our school.
The exhibition showcased a diverse array of themed projects that students developed through rigorous coursework and externally set assignments.
Fine Art students have demonstrated their mastery in a range of impressive mediums, including painting, printmaking, and ceramics.
Photography students captivated attendees with their innovative works in photography, editing, and time-based media, each piece telling a unique story through a creative lens.
The evening's ambiance was further enriched by enchanting performances from the Music Department, creating a harmonious blend of visual and performing arts. This collaborative effort added a dynamic layer to the exhibition, making it a truly immersive experience.
The Head of the Department, Miss Tamburrini, our Senior Vice Principal and Head of Secondary, Mr Scafe, and our esteemed guest speaker, former student Nadine Al Sous, shared words of gratitude and inspiration. Their speeches underscored the hard work, dedication, and creative spirit that brought this exhibition to life.
The event stands as a testament to the remarkable talents of our students and the supportive environment fostered by our faculty. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and look forward to seeing how these young artists will continue to evolve and inspire.
