EVO Swim Academy Shines at Nautilus Competition in Oman
Doha College and EVO Swim Academy are beaming with pride after a stellar performance at the Nautilus competition in Oman from January 23rd to 25th. Taking 18 swimmers to compete, the team delivered an incredible 91% personal best (PB) rate, with 105 PBs out of 115 races! To top it off, our talented swimmers brought home 36 medals, including 18 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze.
This outstanding success is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and resilience of our athletes. Despite a short preparation period following the winter break, our swimmers demonstrated exceptional character traits: discipline, commitment, and a relentless drive to improve. Doha College strives to instill these qualities in every student, both in and out of the pool.
A few swimmers deserve special recognition for their incredible feats:

Yasmin S competed in both the 400m Freestyle and 400m Individual Medley on the same day, securing two strong PBs.

Ruaridh M showcased the results of his elevated training with PBs in every event, including an astonishing 32-second improvement in his 400m Freestyle and 15 seconds in his 200 IM.

Tara S, recently selected to trial for the first-ever Female Qatar National Team, impressed by cutting 15 seconds off her 200m Butterfly time.

Evie A, Petar P, and Aaron D put in strong performances ahead of the highly competitive Dubai Open, setting themselves up for success in the toughest meet in the region.
