Doha College Retains Prestigious IAPS Membership – A Global Standard of Excellence

Doha College has been reaccredited as a member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) – a prestigious UK-based organisation that represents over 700 of the world's leading preparatory schools. This continued membership stands as a testament to Doha College’s unwavering pursuit of educational excellence and holistic student development.

The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) is an internationally respected organisation headquartered in the UK, representing schools that provide top-tier education for children up to the age of 13. Its members are known not only for academic excellence, but also for nurturing character, encouraging personal growth, and offering diverse opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.

We are thrilled to be part of the Independent Association Prep Schools (IAPS). It demonstrates our commitment to ‘Excellence For All, Excellence From All’ and extends the associations we have with the top independent schools around the world. Over 700 of the very best schools are part of IAPS, and membership is dependent on a range of very strict criteria. At Doha College, one of the world's leading British international schools, we continue to lead innovation in education, and it is excellent to develop wider networks. The range of support offered will ensure our amazing school continues to grow in both strength and stature.”

Derek Watson, Senior Vice Principal - Head of Primary at Doha College

An IAPS membership is a hallmark of distinction, open only to schools that meet rigorous standards in academic performance, pastoral care, safeguarding, governance, and leadership. It is a recognition that is earned—not given—and Doha College Primary has met these criteria with distinction.

By retaining its IAPS status, Doha College Primary gains access to an elite network of schools that collaborate and share best practices in teaching, safeguarding, and leadership. It also means that our students will benefit from enhanced opportunities – from inter-school sporting events and academic initiatives to global cultural exchanges and leadership development programmes.
