Doha College Pupils Shine at QUESS Badminton Tournament
Doha College pupils have once again showcased their remarkable talent and determination, delivering an exceptional performance at this year’s QUESS Badminton Tournament, hosted at Qatar Finland International School. Competing in both the U16 and U19 categories, our boys and girls demonstrated outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and resilience, bringing home an impressive tally of two Gold medals and one Silver.
Our girls' teams were equally unstoppable, playing with poise and determination. In the U16 category, Diya D (Year 11) remained undefeated in Singles, while Aanya M (Year 10) and Enayah A (Year 10) dominated in Doubles. Their combined efforts secured the team a Gold medal.
In the U19 category, Annaika M (Year 13) won all her Singles matches, while the Doubles duo of Salma H and Arsha M (both Year 13) suffered just one loss. Their outstanding performance, along with a significant point difference in victories, ensured that the U19 girls also claimed Gold.
Beyond the trophies and accolades, these achievements reflect the character and values that Doha College instils in its students—resilience, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Every match played was a testament to the pupils' dedication and ability to rise to the occasion, demonstrating not just technical prowess but also grace in victory and dignity in competition.
At Doha College, we believe that success is not just about winning, but about the journey—the perseverance to push through challenges, the camaraderie built through teamwork, and the humility to learn and grow. Our pupils have exemplified these qualities at every stage of the tournament, making the entire DC community immensely proud.
Congratulations to all our players for their remarkable performances and well-earned victories! We look forward to seeing even greater achievements in the future.
