Yet More 'Trips and Visits'

On Tuesday 25th March 2003 a group of nine post-16 students left for the U.K. on a geography field trip, accompanied by Gail Comerford (teacher of geography). They stayed at an internationally known field studies centre in the North Downs. ‘A visit to this centre is now an integral part of the A-level curriculum’ explained Mark Whale (head of geography). ‘It provides a unique opportunity for the students to take part in a wide range of high quality field work, investigating geographical features that are not available in Qatar or elsewhere in this region,’ he added. ‘I know it will be a lot of hard work but I am looking forward to it and I am sure the work will be a big help in the final examinations,’ commented Samantha Parkes.
