Code of Conduct

   

Code of Conduct inside Classrooms:

Talking:

We speak kindly to each other

Learning:

We work quietly, help each other and listen attentively
We take turns in a polite manner and ask for clarification

Movement:

We move quietly and tidy the room for the next users

Clothing:

We wear our uniform correctly

Treatment:

We are kind to each other and use good manners

Problem Solving:

We try to solve problems in a fair manner; if that is hard we ask an adult for help; We aim to create solutions – not problems

Safety:

We try not to hurt others
When sitting we keep all four legs of the chair on the ground
No food or drinks (except water) to be brought into class
No chewing gum or expensive valuables brought to college
We use equipment safely and follow instructions

 

Code of Conduct outside Classrooms:

walk sensibly in corridors and on stairs

show courtesy by holding doors open

eat food and drink only in the provided areas

avoid inappropriate physical contact

keep the area we use free from litter

show consideration for others at all times

refrain from disruptive or excessively loud behaviour

behave appropriately in the tuck shop queue

refrain from causing damage or graffiti to school buildings & equipment

never enter into physical or verbal abuse of others

Student Character

• arrive at college every day on time and avoid being late for my lessons
• bring the correct books and equipment for each day
• use my student organiser properly
• do my work to the best of my ability and always do my homework on time
• follow the code of conduct and dress code
• be proud of my school and my achievements
• show consideration for all members of the college and respect for their property
