Course Introduction
DiDA is the Diploma in Digital Applications, a revolutionary suite of three paperless qualifications from Edexcel that focuses on the practical application of technology.

The course in being delivered electronically using the E-Book related to Unit 1 - Using ICT.  Students then manage their notes and homework through websites hosted by Piczo.  All of the related guides and practice and real exams (SPBs) can be located via Edexcel's own site or by using the Doha College E-Learning platform www.dohacollege.net  The site also has links to several very useful resources detailing the marking criteria for each section.

During the first 2 terms of the course, students will work through the E-book and their understanding of each chapter will be assessed using online self-marking tests via the E-Learning platform.  Students will also practice their ICT skills and learn the correct procedures for creating publications before attempting the Unit 1 SPB.  The unit is assessed over a 30 hour (min) period in school.  However, students are free to prepare and practice this exam at home before or during the exam period without incurring any penalty.

On successful completion of the first SPB, students will be awarded the AiDA qualification which is equivalent to one GCSE.
