Business Studies Department

The Business Studies department offers the following courses which give students an opportunity to develop their IT and communication skills.

 • GCSE Business Studies (1503) & IGCSE Economics

• AS Business Studies leading to A2 GCE Business Studies in Year 13

• AS Economics leading to A2 GCE Economics in Year 13

• Applied GCE in Business (Double Award) over two years

• Applied GCE in Travel and Tourism (Single Award) over two years
 

Mr. Ambrose Miseroy is the Subject Leader and Business Links Coordinator.  Other members of the department are Mrs. Winnard who is also Applied co-ordinator, Mrs. Gammon, Ms. Turnbull.

The department is located in purpose built premises, which contains four teaching rooms, two of which are equipped with computers all with access to the internet.

The department is often visited by speakers from businesses in Qatar and many group visits are arranged to major organisations in and around Doha. Each year the department organises work experience for all post-16 students following Applied business studies  and Travel and Tourism courses.
