The School Day

Primary

Sunday to Thursday inclusive

Pre-School 7.25 am to 12.00 noon
Reception to Year 6: 7.25 am to 1.10 pm

The morning bell will be at 7.20 am so that work may commence promptly at 7.30 am.

Support and Teaching staff are required to be in their classrooms or activity areas by 7.15 am.

The Primary Gate will be open from 7.00 am, however, students will not be allowed to enter the building until the bell rings at 7.20 am.

Doha College will not take responsibility for children who are delivered earlier than those times stated.

Pre-School - students enter through their classroom doors.

Reception – students enter through the Reception Red door.

Year 5 – students enter via the outside staircase.

Years 2, 3, 4 and 6 - students enter through the main entrance doors and proceed to their classrooms.
 

DEPARTURE

All students up to year 4 must be collected from the classroom by a responsible adult, or an elder sibling, with the exception of students with siblings in Reception, who may proceed to the Reception classes for collection. Year 5 students will exit via the outside staircase and can be collected from the bottom of the staircase. Year 6 students will exit through the main door. Year 5 and 6 students must be collected – they will not be permitted to leave the school grounds without an adult or secondary school sibling. Written permission from parents must be obtained if primary students are to be collected by elder siblings.

BREAK TIMES

1st Break 9.00am to 9.30am
2nd Break 11.00am to 11.30am

NB : Due to the intense heat during the first half of the Autumn Term and 2nd half of the Summer Term, breaks will be taken inside for the younger children.

Extra curriculum programmes

Non-sporting and Sporting clubs take place at various times between 1.20pm and 3.00pm. Please see the Afterschool page for exact timings.


 

Secondary

Students should assemble outside their Form Rooms for start of school at 7.10am. On admission to the Form Room the Tutor will take the register. Students not in class at this point will be marked as “late” in the register. Punctuality is an important expectation at Doha College and regular lateness will result in sanctions being imposed.

End of school ---------------------------------------------------------> 1.20 pm
After school activities -----------------------------------------------> 1.30 – 2.30 pm
