| Discipline and the 4As
Doha College is committed to ensuring the educational experience for students is a positive one. One way of achieving this is to aim for the highest of standards. All students at Doha College are aware of the importance of the 4 As; Attendance, Achievement, Attitude and Appearance and how they are imperative to maximising potential.
We believe that good discipline is a matter of attitude and self-control rather than rules, sanctions and punishment. We expect students to aim for the highest standards of individual and collective behaviour at all times both in and out of College. We will not accept behaviour which prevents others from learning or threatens the happiness or well-being of any child. Please note that for health and safety reasons the wearing of any jewellery (with the exception of a watch) and make-up of any kind is not permitted in school. For Sixth Form there is more flexibility and modest earrings are permitted. |

| There is a
Home-College agreement we ask Students, Parents and the
College to sign as part of our joint commitment to
"Excellence for All, Excellence from All" |
| The importance of parents in the development of their children cannot be stressed too highly. Without question, parent have a central and vital part to play in not only encouraging their child every day and showing continuous interest and support in their education, but in actually creating a good school. We value our partnerships with all parents but strive tirelessly to involve more and more parents in what we do at Doha College. We will do our very best to keep every parent fully informed and as involved as possible.
Regular information on all aspects of College life is conveyed to parents
through:
- Subject Reports containing targets for improvement
- Letters
- Newsletters
- Consultation Days
- Subject Evenings
- Open Evenings
- School Events
- Joint events, fundraising and even coffee mornings!

We ask that you give time and encouragement to your child every day. Talk about what they are studying, who teaches them, what equipment or kit may be needed for the next day or over the course of the next few days, and show a genuine interest in what your child is doing at the College. We expect parents to support the College's uniform, behaviour, discipline and homework policies
