House & Reward System
In both Primary and Secondary, students are assigned to one of five houses:

Dragon Griffin Phoenix
Salamander Unicorn

House events include a swimming gala, sports day, music competitions etc. Inter--house competitions are held regularly during the term. Students are encouraged to be good team players as well and to support each other.

In the Primary Department, house competitions are held half termly and include a central theme such as poetry writing, uniform design. Pupils work together as part of these teams to participate in music and sports competitions.

In order to encourage and motivate students, we run a reward system.
In the Secondary School, House Points are available for exceptional effort in any subject and any student who earns ten House Points is awarded a Certificate of Merit at an assembly.

However, it is not only academic success that is recognised; sporting achievement, effort, attendance and good progress are also rewarded.

Each year a formal ceremony is held where prizes and certificates are awarded.

In the Primary Department we have an individual House merit system where pupils can achieve a number of certificates which reflect both their academic and pastoral achievements. These certificates are awarded to pupils at weekly assemblies where their achievements are celebrated.

Each Key Stage holds a monthly Celebration Assembly where pupils are recognized for a variety of activities which cover academic and pastoral success.

Considerable emphasis is placed on mutual respect between staff and students; the development of self-discipline; consideration for others and a sense of responsibility towards the community.
