Digital Photography & Digital Video – Advanced Subsidiary GCE and Advanced GCE

 < Back

Course Synopsis:

Photography includes artwork in video and digital imaging. Frequently, the techniques of the different disciplines are used to convey messages and create works in other graphic disciplines, such as television advertisements and the use of photographic images in magazines, books, advertisements and in digital forms. We are looking for students with enthusiasm, determination and creativity.

Work in photography should form a means of personal enquiry and expression involving the selection and manipulation of images. Students must employ creative approaches which go beyond mere observation and recording.

In the context of this specification, disciplines will include photography, digital photography and digital video. Students will be required to work in one or more of these disciplines.
