Contents covered in KS3

Students in Year 7 study  two languages chosen from French, German, Spanish and Arabic. In these lessons, students learn the basics of each language so that they may read and listen to the target language and understand what is being conveyed. Students also begin to develop their communication skills both in writing and speaking in the target language. At the end of Year 7, students are given the opportunity to choose two languages from preference so that more in-depth linguistic study may take place in Years 8 and 9 in preparation for GCSE.
