Global Buddies

As we share the world we should know it!

Global Buddies is a way for us to connect with children from different countries across the globe. We can learn about other cultures and people, while enjoying and finding friends!

DCP are global buddies with Westfield primary school in York, which started last year. We have made personal profiles, which are going to be sent to Westfield's students and hopefully they will write back to us. This is a chance to get to know some students, and get in touch with some remote schools in other countries, not only the ones in Qatar.

We have dedicated our time to these profiles and the students have come up with some very creative and outstanding pieces of work with which we hope that will help the students in England understand us better.

World Peace Day

Recently, we have had World Peace Day. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we wrote a poem concerning the importance of World Peace. Afterwards, we had a conversation over Skype with our companions at Westfield Primary School in York, England.

Fortunately, we had the opportunity to read our poems over to our associates at Westfield Primary School. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, we had to cut short our conversation on Skype. But in that short period of time we were able to run through several poems, which were outstanding.

Luckily we had the opportunity to send some of our poems through, with which we hope the school over in England will get to interpret them.
