Year 13 January – May A2 modular exams and AS resits – January. Meet deadlines set by individual universities for applications to USA, Canada and Europe; South Africa, Australia and New Zealand have later deadlines therefore check dates carefully on individual websites. A useful website for advise is www.i-studentadvisor.com Complete initial enquiries for student funding from your Local Education Authority (LEA) if applying in UK as home student. Check dates for any other funding associated with your courses. Continue to attend any university open days and higher education fairs. When you have received all your replies from UCAS universities confirm your decisions on first and second choice places, then decline all others. If you are not applying to UK ensure you have followed the application procedure on accepting places as explained on the individual university websites. You will receive information on accommodation after accepting your conditional or unconditional place at university; check the deadline for applying. Applications can refer through Extra for the first time – students without offers will be contacted with another application choice. Universities should aim to give applicants decisions by 31 March Late applications can still be made through UCAS but you must state why you are applying late on your personal statement; you application may not be considered until June. A2/AS exams – May/June. |
