My family has lived in Qatar for 13 years. My sons, Josh and Philip, are both students at Doha College (years 7 and 10). Mr Simon Casson Member General Manager Four Seasons Hotel, Doha |
I arrived in Qatar with my family in 2004 to lead the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel, of which I am the General Manager. My eldest child, Joshua, is a year 8 student at the college and this sparked my interest to serve on the board. Over the past 20 years, working around the world with Four Seasons, I have gained management, business and leadership skills that I hope in some small way to be able to use for the benefit and support of Doha College as it maintains and enhances its own leadership position within Qatar’s changing educational landscape. |
|
Mr Chris Liddicoat Member |
As a family, we started our Middle
Eastern tour 13 years ago in Kuwait, followed by a
period in Oman and have lived in Qatar for the past 7
years. Our son Donovan is currently in year 9 at the
College, which obviously prompted my further
involvement. There is an enormous pool of talent and enthusiasm at Doha College. This includes primary and senior students as well as the teaching and support staff. Since joining the Board in April 2007, it remains my desire to make a meaningful contribution to the progress and development of the College, by serving on the Board as Chair of the HR Committee and as a member of the Communications Committee. Outside of the College, I am employed by Commercialbank and have a general management degree through UNISA. I am a keen sportsman, currently active with scuba diving and golf – a passion, fortunately, shared by my son. |
