Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that educates participants in current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.

Doha College's MUN is a student-run organisation which encourages secondary school students interested in foreign affairs, politics, the environment, culture and countries to participate in public speaking, debating and resolution writing within an environment that

echoes the United Nations. These students are assisted by three key members of staff, DCMUN Director Mrs Joanne Conly and Deputy Directors Mrs Amanda Stafrace and Ms Nicola Calvert-Beer.

Mrs Joanne Conly explained the significance of MUN on student development "MUN encourages students to view the issues affecting the world from different perspectives and the collaborative nature of MUN helps to teach our students about global responsibility."

Doha College's MUN proudly carries The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) affiliation allowing Doha College students to meet a variety of other 'MUNers' from all around the world.

Year 13 student, Ata Chowdhry secretary general for Doha College's MUN conference summed up the ethos of the conference participants, "We live in a world that is constantly changing. As citizens of the world, we have a duty to ensure these changes are dealt with in such a way that adds maximum benefit to our society. Our aim for this conference is that each and every one takes away the spirit of the United Nations and realises how thoughtful, committed citizens and the youth can make a difference through meaningful dialogue and the will to change."
