Dear Parents

Mr Mahmood Khan

College Liaison Officer

I write to let you know that our Liaison Officer, Mr Mahmood Khan, passed away on Wednesday 28 February, after a short illness.  Mahmood had been with the College for 20 years and was very much part of the glue that holds any organisation together.  He knew everything about procedural requirements, and ensured that whatever College needed to do in respect of visas, permits and information for the Ministry was done, and done very well often involving great personal sacrifice, and long hours which he worked voluntarily and cheerfully.  If there is such a thing as the perfect employee, then it was Mahmood Khan.  Every member of staff and most students will have benefited from his quiet but totally efficient efforts on their behalf.

Mahmood really was a wonderful man, possessing integrity, loyalty and absolute honesty.  We loved him very much and will miss him desperately both as a person and as such an important part of the Doha College family.  Our thoughts are very much at this time with his wife and family.

If students wish to support the fund for his family they may come to school on Thursday 8 March in non uniform for a payment of QR20.  An additional collection will be made that day, but I do emphasise that both non uniform and any donations are entirely voluntary.

Yours sincerely
