Dear Parents;

As part of its ongoing strategic review, the Board recognises the growing demands on our current infrastructure and facilities coupled with the changing demographic makeup of the student body.

Consequently, whilst the College will remain committed to delivering a British curriculum, the overall College experience will be reviewed with immediate effect to ensure we can operate out of world class facilities whilst at the same time broadening the horizons of our student body by enhancing their international experiences.

To facilitate this exercise the Board has established a strategy committee under the chairmanship of existing Board member Julian Phillips. This planning committee will adopt an holistic approach that it will address

  1. The current site footprint and existing land usage and

  2. Potential improvements on land use of the existing site plus greenfield alternatives.

 It will draw on the expertise available amongst our students’ parents and will also benefit from the considerable experience of the Principal who will be seconded with immediate effect to act as the lead advisor. The Principal will assist the Board in the process of planning for the future location of the College and/or development of its existing site and in the process of planning the medium and long term preparation and use of the facilities.

 The Strategic Planning Committee has agreed to deliver its recommendations to the Board by the end of the summer term for our consideration.

 In the interim, with the Principal having been seconded to the Strategic Facilities Committee, the Vice-Principal, David Greetham, will assume responsibility for the overall leadership and management of the College and this will include both the Educational and Business areas.

 Assistant Principal Mark Leppard will assume responsibility for the day to day delivery of all educational aspects of the College. Any issues relating to students or teachers should be directed to Mr. Leppard in the first instance.

 From the Governors perspective we can assure you that these temporary arrangements will not have any effect on the students as the College will continue to operate as it does today with the strategic work being carried out in parallel.

The Board of Governors.
